UGG Australia at Cloggs Footwear

This week, the girls and I were lucky enough to be asked to do some mother & daughter styling for Cloggs Footwear – showcasing their extensive range of UGG™  Australia boots. There’s more on offer than the traditional sheepskin boot – I was surprised to see such a wide range of leather options and boots with proper soles and heels. After lots of discussion, clicking, scrolling and debate (they take online shopping as seriously as their mother), the girls opted for the same boot in different colours…the Kensington Junior. Not unlike a traditional UGG™  but more substantial, in a nubuck leather rather than suede and with zip closure – important for one of my daughters who has a very wide foot & high arch.

Meanwhile, for myself, I chose the Emalie a waterproof black leather wedge. I’ve tried some flat black ankle boots in recent weeks and they just don’t suit me. However, anything with hard/block heels (no matter how low), I find difficult to wear all day. But after a day wearing my Fly wedges boots in brown, I realised where I was going wrong – I needed a black wedge – and these have been amazing over the past few days. I’ve worn them all day every day since Friday. Size wise, I got the 7 as there aren’t half sizes. This is equivalent to a US9 – which is the way UGG™ are sold. I would say they come up a little on the big side in terms of length and width. I probably could have squeezed into the 6 but not sure if I could have worn with a winter sock? Hard to know. They are generous around the ankle also.

The best bit? The sheepskin lining…so cosy and comfortable and it’s removable so you can launder it or use it in another pair of shoes.
Here we all are getting ready for a lovely walk on Saturday..

Me – H&M Jumper, Gap Jeans, Ugg™ Emalie in Black, Scarf (gift from my sister)
K – Boden Cardign & Long Sleeved Top, Dunnes Jeans, Ugg™ Junior Kensington in Brown

But about 20 minutes after these photos were taken, the skies opened and it rained solidly for 24 hours. So zip forward to the next day and we finally got our walk…

The girls are wearing their Stormwear™ coats from M&S and I’m wearing my old favourite mac from Karen Millen. My sister in law bought me this coat about 7 years ago. A hugely generous gift at the time but it still looks as gorgeous as the day I got it and comes out every year. I added in one of the new cosy scarves that I’ve just got into the shop. It came originally in 3 colour ways and I only have a limited number to sell – in fact, I’ve already sold out of one colour – just this and a blue shade left.

Oh and before I go – Cloggs are running a competition on their site at the moment to win a year’s supply of kids’ shoes and a pair for yourself too! Check it out on this link:

wow what a fabulous gift for review. How lucky of you.

My daughter is 8 and loves ugg kensingtons, I like the wedges have never looked at them before, I brought the biker style ones with hard soles and they make my feet ache!

oops forgot to ask. I believe you have referred to having feet on he wider side previously? How do the boots fit width wise? I would normally buy a wide fit in clarks or m&s to not have crushed toes, so wondered how these fare? thanks

    • Hi Vicki – thanks for asking this. I forgot to mention sizes!! So I’ve added in a sentence to cover this off. I would say they’re perfect for a wider foot. I got the 7 and I can easily wear a thick winter sock in them, with the sheepskin insole. I would have like to have tried the 6 – I suspect I may have gotten away with it on the basis that they might stretch a little. However, unlike other size 7′s I’ve tried, they’re not big looking at all on my feet so I was happy to keep the bigger size and have the scope to layer up the socks when the weather gets chilly. Hope this helps! x

  8. Gorgeous girlies, they look so cosy in those boots, lucky things! I had an amazing pair of knee high brown leather Uggs which were unbelievably warm and cosy, then my feet grew while I was pregnant and they didn’t fit any more :-( I swear there were actual tears at the Post Office when I sold them on eBay!

  9. How gorgeous are the Kiddies Uggs?? Your girls look adorable in them Avril! I am off to enter that competition because to win that would save me a penny or 2 over the year on kids shoes, I would love a pair for myself too!! xx

  10. The girls look adorable in their Kensingtons and of course I would say that as I have a pair myself. However, my pair (adult version) do not have a zip which they could have done with. I know a few friends who struggled trying to get themselves in a pair and I think I was just borderline. But – they are nice :o)

And something I’ve noticed too – hard heels are just not as nice to walk in as they? I noticed that when I tried a pair of crepe soled boots in Zara and I felt like I was bouncing and I think they have much greater shock absorbency too. That’s probably why you’re living in your Uggs – that sole and the wedge look the business for you!
