Outfit of the Day with a bit of Seven Boot Lane

Chocolate was used to secure a photographer today. Even at that, she was reluctant....! But we got there in the end with lots of encouragement because I really wanted proper photos to show off these beauties from Seven Boot Lane's new SS16 collection, a wonderful family run shoe brand I've worked with before but in case you've not heard of them, you can read more here.

The pair I'm wearing are called the Flame Leather Slip-On and it made me so happy to see Seven Boot Lane create this skater style of shoe. Having bought (and replaced due to wear and tear) 2 black pairs like this over the past couple of years, I've realised that it's a style that's timeless and works really well with my wardrobe. And they're super comfortable and practical for running about each day in.
As with all Seven Boot Lane shoes, they are beautifully made with the highest quality leather and suede and they're fully lined in leather too. The attention to detail is exquisite - I particularly love the tan stitched trim around the edges and the scalloped detail on the ankle area.
Comfort wise, they have a nice amount of cushioning and didn't pinch or rub anywhere. Size-wise, I got the 39 and they fit me perfectly. I would say if you're between sizes (as I am), you might want to size down.

This style also comes in three other colour ways - grey leopard (which I was SO tempted by), metallic and a neutral beige colour

As they do each season, Seven Boot Lane have a discount code for all readers of School Gate Style. Simply enter SCHOOLGATE16 at the check out for 15% off all orders. Delivery and returns are always free on Seven Boot Lane.
To finish, I thought I'd show you my 3 favourites from the new collections - the ones that I almost chose and that have now joined the wish list.
I have worn my grey Seven Boot Lane Eloise boots several times a week since I got them last September so I'm loving these Florence Western Ankle Boots which would look so good with jeans at the moment but also with bare legs when the weather warms up:
You can't go wrong with a black strappy sandal so I'm dreaming of wearing these Fiji Black Sandals with floaty skirts and shorts this summer:
And finally, every wardrobe should have a beige suede ankle boot for year round wear. They look amazing with black, grey, blue or white jeans but also with bare tanned legs and denim shorts. These Erin Sand Suede Ankle Boots are just perfect:

Back tomorrow with a changing room post....a dangerous endeavour for me as I end up tempted by way too much!

  1. Having read about Seven Boot Lane on your blog, when they appeared on the secret sales website at 70% off, I ordered 4 pairs to try on with intention of keeping 1pair, maybe 2. I am now the proud owner of 3 pairs of their ankle boots - so beautifully made & unbelievably comfortable. Thank you for telling me about them

  2. Oh I really wish that those skater style shoe suited me. I've bought and returned so many pairs, because they just make my little size 4s look huge & clumpy! Such a shame as I love them on everyone else

    1. Do you know Helen, I thought so too and then when my back went a couple of years ago, I was forced into a pair through necessity (slip on and flat!) and suddenly, I got used to them and loved them. I think it does depend on the shape of them and the size of your foot, having said all that. These ones look so much better and neater than the first pair I bought. Ax
