If you follow on Instagram or Facebook you'll have heard me singing the praises of my new black(ish) jeans...and if you're looking for a pair of comfortable, inexpensive, on-trend jeans, you'll want to read on.
I had a casual black jeans gap in my wardrobe. I'm not a huge fan of proper black jeans unless I'm going out - I find black jeans too much like a formal trouser or a legging and I always feel a bit overdressed in them.
So I was looking for something that had a bit of distressing but all I could find were ones with proper rips across the knees (a great look and very on trend but they don't really work on me) or washed out black jeans verging on grey, again not what I was looking for.
Then, en-route back up from Tipperary last weekend, I dropped into the Gap Outlet at Banbridge, where I spotted these Forever Stretch Leggings in the exact, slightly faded finish I was looking for.
The name confused me as they look and feel nothing like leggings - apart from being very stretchy and soft. But they're a stretchy/soft denim..not jersey like I'd expect leggings to be and they have proper pockets at the front and back as well as a zip and button closure.
Size-wise, they were a bit different to my other Gap jeans - they came in S/M/L as opposed to numerical sizes. I tried the M and I'd say it's a generous 12 - perhaps a small 14 could fit into them also.
And I've worn them and worn them this week...

They're priced at £42.99 in the outlet but the day I was there, everything was 50% off. Additionally, lots of people there had £5 vouchers they'd been emailed so I'm now signed up to the Outlet special offer email for the next time. I was given a £15 off £45 spend for the weekend of the 24-26 April though so another visit beckons :)
Finishing with today's outfit which includes the jeans yet again! I had the back of my hair trimmed this morning at Lounge in Finaghy as it had gotten a bit straggly and messy. Jonny my usual hairdresser is on an extended holiday to Europe but Zara (who usually only does my blow-dries) did an amazing job - she knows I'm really particular about who cuts my hair! The best bit was that it was only £12 as it wasn't an all-over cut AND she did a lovely plait on my daughter who came with me and sat so quietly while I was being done. Cue two happy girls leaving the salon! Slightly orange photo today courtesy of a weird filter that I couldn't take off.
