I am so ready for autumn winter - bring it on! I want the sales to clear off and the kids to go back to school and my ankle boots to come out of storage...there, I've said it. I'm sure some of you are loving the warm weather and the bargains in the shops at the moment - I'm SO over it.
To get you in the mood for winter fashion, I'm delighted to announce that I'm having another Boden party in my house (glutton for punishment!) on Thursday 3rd October, 2013 from 10-10pm, in support of the MS Society. If you are a local reader, you can sign up to the event on this link, or just email me at [email protected] to let me know you are coming. As well as 20% off on the day (with free delivery & returns), there will be a gift for the first 30 customers and £25 account credit for every new customer you bring along with you (if they place an order too). So bring some friends to join in the fun.
It's going to be a fantastic chance to try before you buy and it will include the new winter range that launches on the 16th September. But for those of you who are not local, you can still avail of my discount code - more details on the blog closer to the time.
Quick outfit update - completely zonked today after a late and long drive up from Tipperary last night. It a cooler day today so I wore shades of navy & my Fenn Wright Manson patterned top (now reduced to £25!) - the perfect transitional piece..
Bella Rolled Sleeve Top - Fenn Wright Manson Indigo Skinny Jeans - Heatons Navy Textured Jersey Jacket - Next Navy Pear Oilcloth Bag - Orla Kiely (past season) Pink Ballet Pumps - M&S (past season - similar) Clock Necklace - Room 31 (past season - available here) |
Hope you're having a good week! I'm away on a hen weekend on Saturday...first hen in a LONG time. But what on earth to wear....? I'll take lots of photos, I promise!

You look great in that top! I love it.
ReplyDeleteWow, you are so good for doing another party! I know the last one was such a huge success for your chosen charity so well done on doing another one.
It was 27 here today - I am still loving the sun!

Even though it was really hard work, I enjoyed every minute. I'm sure this next one won't be as busy so I'll get to meet more of my guests. Plus I get to try on all the winter stuff - win, win! x
DeletePS lucky you with the weather...really changeable here! x
I so don't want to change over into autumn and winter clothes just yet and I certainly don't want Charlie to go back to school, I love the holidays and the relaxed mornings with no rushing. Saying that I am pretty much over the sales, they started so early I struggled to get anything I wanted when it really got hot! Your hair looks fab by the way x
ReplyDeleteHi Avril, I bagged some bargains in our local (very small) M+S yesterday. Went in for some mince to make a chilli for last night's dinner and came out with another pair of black trousers (can a girl have too many pair of black trousers?) and a rather nice top..... I did have a quick look at their baby sale rack and almost succumbed to yet more clothes for my gorgeous baby granddaughter but then thought she's got sooo many clothes already!

I am not over summer but soo over the sales. Excited about the new stuff coming in stores.... just don't want to dive in too early like I DO normally . Look forward to your Boden discount....thanks.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous top Avril, the colours are lovely together. I'm totally over the sales but loving the weather & having our son home, school holidays always go so quickly! Can't quite make out if you've had your hair cut but whatever you've done it looks fab! x
ReplyDeleteThanks Jane - I've just tied my hair back....it does look like I lopped it off though! I'd just washed it before the photos and I always leave it for a day before straightening. Normal hair service will resume tomorrow!
DeleteI must be a bad mammy - everyone else is happy to have their kids home...I'm blaming the 9 weeks holiday over here..WAY too long! xx
Your last Boden party looked amazing - all the best with the next one! I love your top. I'm so into animal-type prints at the moment! x
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty top - and you could so rock a short hair style! ( I know it is only tied back here!!) I;m still loving the weather and summer clothes . Don't know when we will get another year with a proper summer so I am making the most of every second! Autumn can wait!!! Sales can go! X
ReplyDeleteI'm completely with you ... roll on Autumn now! I've had enough of the summer, the holidays, the mugginess ... I want jackets, boots and the smell of turf fires in the air (and yes, that does happen, even in Dublin!) Love the outfit and just to say, whenever you're bored with that Orla Kiely bag, please let me know :)
ReplyDeleteI am hoping Boden have some lovely petite coats soon.
ReplyDeleteI thought u had your hair chopped too Avril, but I know u would never do that without consulting us first!! Lol
ReplyDeleteHope I can make it this time, will book my night off with the hubs well in advance!! X
I kept having to look again Avril - thought you'd had your hair chopped too! I love the sun and warm weather - hoping for an indian summer (sorry) - I don't like Autumn - always gets me depressed with the dark evenings and cold! Haven't had much chance to look around the sales - maybe there's still time! xx
ReplyDeleteDarling outfit and yay for the Boden party. I wish they'd let me throw one here. Yours looked like lots of work, but lots of fun, too!
ReplyDeleteMy Boden dress is one of my favourite wardrobe staples - will def be back for more!
