Shades of Pink & The Perfect Cream Top

One of my favourite ways to wear colour is to mix a few different shades of the same together. I find it works well when you're not sure what to wear with an item of clothing in your wardrobe. In my case the other day, I wanted to wear my mauve Warehouse top but wasn't sure what to wear with it. Using this scarf to pull it together, I added a jacket, handbag & pumps that were all different shades of pale pink.
Jacket - Boden
Scarf - Savida @ Dunnes (old)
Jeans - Gap Boyfriend
Pumps - M&S (similar)
Handbag - LK Bennett

With the weather we're having at the moment, it's hard to believe this was just a couple of days ago!
Anyway, I was heading into Belfast on this trip on a hunt for a cream top to go with a jacket I am planning to wear for Britmums. Brought the kids, which may have been a mistake. In any case, I got a changing room in House of Fraser & brought in 5 cream tops which I tried on in super fast speed while my kids tripped me up, asked about my wobbly tummy in loud voices and peeped under the partition at the other women. So you'll forgive the slightly hassled photos!
First two - Wal-G - not online (similar) - too heavy for summer, Miss Selfridge - too gapey under the arms
Next - Mango (not online) - didn't like the frayed neckline, Linea - peplum too high for my long torso
The last one I tried on was from Oasis and it was perfect! Lace on the front, jersey cotton on the back. Fitted enough but not too tight, nice shade of cream and with 20% off. Sold. And worn yesterday in the charity shop...and I brought the baby with me too!
Lace T-Shirt - Oasis
Boyfriend Jeans - Gap as above
Sandals - LK Bennett (Banbridge Outlet)
Handbag - The Prada 'Baby'
Necklace & Bracelet - Birthday gifts (thanks Sharon!)

I hope you're having a fantastic week and that there's sunshine where you are.
Until tomorrow...x
