Heatons are an Irish company, established 65 years ago and have 52 stores across Ireland. But worry not if you're not near a store - they have a website too with delivery available to Ireland, North & South. (not currently to the rest of the UK but if you really want something, message me and I can post to you!)
I hauled a huge amount of stock to try on and luckily it was early in the day so my taking up a changing room for the best part of a half hour wasn't an issue. Lovely big, well lit fitting room though it needed a chair and a couple more hooks on the wall.
Rose Flock Dress - £20 |
Geo Printed Trouser - £18 Came up a bit small - I'm wearing a 12. Now thinking I may have to go back for these... |
Floral Trouser - £16 - lovely light material. Wearing a 12 again. |
Multi Colour Floral Scarf - £7 Cotton Parka Jacket - £25 with adjustable sleeves & studded detail on the shoulders. Wearing a size 10. |
Frill Detail Mac - £25 & other colours available. Wearing a size 10. |
Then I had a zoom around the kids section as I'd heard such great stuff about it. Very impressed with the swimwear and sandal selection. And every Alpha Mum knows that you buy your sandals and swimwear in March. Apparently. That's why there's none left for the rest of us when the schools break up in June.
The little croc-style shoes are £2, UV swimwear £6. Canvas hi-tops only £7! |
Im off to check their webpage:) I loved the floral dress andbalck and white trousers. I an squeeze and order into have sent to my mums before Easter:)
ReplyDeleteI loved the dress on the hanger but couldn't make up my mind when it was on me. I would have had to wear with a wee cardigan as it's a v-back and I have an unreasonable dislike of v-back day clothes...go figure! lol. I think it would work great in colder weather with black tights and said cropped cardigan. Check the returns policy in case of any issue as I know it's more complicated with you not living in the UK! Oh, and size up on the trousers. I'm wearing a 12 here! Hope you're well...exciting times for your wee man at Easter. Your mum must be SO excited! x
Deletewow what an amazing shop - I loved all of it (apart from the floral trousers!)
ReplyDeleteThat parka was bought yes?
The first dress is so good on you
Can't wait to see THE outfit in all its glory tomorrow
Fiona
You may be disappointed as I didn't get the parka. Got the scarf though! That dress was lovely but I don't think I would have worn it enough coming into the summer. You know me and my bare leg issues! Avril xx
DeleteLove the geo print trouser, must have them!

DeleteThe geo print trousers are gorgeous on you. You should definitely go back and get them! Have a very Happy Mother's Day. Helen
ReplyDeleteThank you Helen - you too! It looks like the trousers may have to be purchased after all these comments! Avril xx
DeleteLike Heaton's for household stuff
ReplyDeletenot mad about their clothes
= a bit hit and miss - mostly miss for me
but you looked great in the geo trousers Avril
and the dress was lovely too.
Happy Mother's Day to you and don't let those girlies
eat your choccies!!!!
Haha Fiona, you've been reading my tweets! lol - pesky kids! I hadn't been in Heatons for years but I was impressed overall - and also with their basics - jeggings, skinny jeans etc. And the Pyjamas were lovely. I hate spending money on nightwear so they were right up my street. Happy Mother's Day to you too and hope you get spoiled! xx
DeleteI agree with everyone else you need to go back for those trousers, I think I may have to go get those floral trousers now. The newtownabby store isn't far from where I work but I'd never think of going into it as my local Heatons has an awful clothing range.
ReplyDeleteThe range has improved because I was in the Downpatrick store a few years ago and it was nowhere near as nice. It reminds me of Dunnes really but it's a bit cheaper. Definitely competing with Tu and F&F I would say now and fair play to them. The floral trousers weren't as good a fit on me as the geo ones. A bit baggy around the waist but that's because I had to size up to a 12. They felt gorgeous tho - really light and summery and would be great on you or Kat with your long legs xx
DeleteHave just bought the geo trousers online Avril!!Did you get the blacktop there too or was that your own?? Ordered a ten so i hope they are generous....well done on anither grt post! Helen Cork xx
ReplyDeleteHiya Helen! I would say they are on the small side - I'm wearing the 12 there. But you might be ok. Depends on body shape really - my weight all on the bottom half. The black top is a Warehouse long line jumper I have. Was great with them. All that stopped me getting them was that they were neat on the calves, All of those 7/8 trousers are like that on me. I blame Irish dancing! But I really love them in the pics and want them now! lol. Hope you're well, Avril x x
DeleteLove the geo trousers but just looked on the website and they dont deliver to England :-(
ReplyDeleteI didn't realise that so thank you for bringing to my attention. It's just Northern Ireland they deliver to. Shame. But if you message me on [email protected], I'll be happy to send anything onto you. Avril x
DeleteWow I love all the clothes, the flowered dress is so me :)
ReplyDeleteI could totally see it on you! Would be gorgeous, Ax
DeleteNice stuff! I actually really like both pairs of trousers....ESP the flowery ones, so sick of jeans and black!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun day out.
ReplyDeleteYou have to go back for the floral trousers darling, they are my favourite thing on you, you can rock em! xxx
ReplyDeleteHi. That dress is beautiful on you. Can't believe all the nice stuff. I must admit I usually by pass all their clothes and head straight to Sportsworld dept. must take another look.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sammy - you'll have to head into Heatons again now with new eyes - it's really quite good! Ax
DeleteAvril, you'll have to get those Geo printed pants. I normally would've walked right pass everything you've just featured but you look positively stunning in all of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marlene - I'm heading back up this week - has taken me this long so I'm hoping they're still there! Ax
DeleteHi Avril
ReplyDeleteI went today and bought the geo print trousers and a longline black top all reduced in Blanchardstown Dublin so full outfit for 29 euro happy days.
Told all the staff about your bolg and they where delighted Jane
Wow - that's great Jane! Well done and THANK YOU for the mention - so pleased to hear that. Enjoy your geo trousers - I'm hoping they are still in stock when I go back to my local Heatons on Friday. Ax
