I was in M&S today to pick up my Telephone dress - the one I told you about yesterday. But while I was there, I nipped into the nearby New Look...check out these gorgeous studded pumps!

I also tried on these flat black ankle boots - really comfy. The pic was a bit dark so I had to enhance to show them properly..

These wedge trainers were lovely too and very comfy. Jury's still out on them though...couldn't bring myself to take a picture!

Looking back on the photos now I'm home, I have a feeling I will be back for the slipper shoes next month but this month's limit was up after paying for the M&S dress & a cute blush coloured sweatshirt that called to me from the New Look sale rail (blog to follow on this)
What about the dress then? I didn't have a photographer so more mirror shots follow..
The fit is gorgeous I have to say - the nipped in waist is a great shape on me but then again, I'm not that big on top. I think you would have to size up if you have generous norkage and then it's probable you would lose the benefit of the waist shape? Please let me know how you get on size wise if you try it also.
I tried it over jeans in these pictures (a bit too long on me as a tunic) and then I tried it with navy tights but I didn't have the right shoes for the latter look. So I'll save it for another blogpost when I've found said shoes! Any excuse for some shoe shopping eh?
And before I go today, be sure to drop by the Britmums Blog for my February Style Round Up. I'm featuring some of my favourite curvy blogs this month. I do hope you enjoy!
Ooo like those studded slippers, they look v expensive. That dress is gorgeous on you, you are teeny tiny Avril!! X

ReplyDeletelove the telephone dress, looks great thanks:)
ReplyDeleteI adore the telephone dress. I want one !!
ReplyDeleteIf my husband saw the studded flats he would say "they are very you" and they are but I have to find a dress for a 40th party Saturday night now that I am still around - gutted. I love the look of the blush top, the boots and the wedge trainders, I might have to pop into my local new look! What a great word "norkage" is, by the sounds of it I'd have no hope of getting my boobs in that frock but it is very cute and looks fab on you doll x Will pop off to your style round-up now xx
ReplyDeleteThose ankle boots are great - New Look is another destination I need to get to while I'm here - When I was in my early 20s I had the best black suede mini skirt from there that I wore to death.
ReplyDeleteIf the dress is the same cut as the owl dress then being blessed of bust I can confirm definitely go up a size. It fits beautifully, I'm also fairly nipped in of waist and find that although it sits a little high if I wear a belt I don't lose my waist.
ReplyDeleteThe telephone dress is gorgeous. I do not need it. I do not need it...
I love the dress on you Avril
ReplyDeleteVery cute dress. Norkage? Now that's an expression I've never heard! Will be quizzing you about that when I see you on Sat:
ReplyDeleteLoving the expression Norkage! That's a new one on me! The studded pumps are gorg. You never fail to find fab, stylish, reasonably priced items for your blog. Thanks Avril. Gina x
ReplyDeleteThe shape of the dress is perfect on you... do you have any ankle boots that would work with tights - eg tan?
