It's Frugal Friday!

I know I'm not the only woman who wishes she had more cash to spend on clothes. So, I thought I'd share with you some low cost ways to enhance your wardrobe...it's Frugal Friday!

Seek out your local second hand shop. The very talented Ciara over at Smudge Illustration told me about Rich Rags on Bloomfield Road, Belfast.
It's a mixture of second hand good quality clothing and end of line/sale items that are new with tags. There is a sale on at the moment and on the £9 sale rail, I picked up a brand new with tags LK Bennett Viola dress - just like the one in the picture. RRP £115. I love a bargain!
And this brand new Boden Tunic was on the £9 rail too!
There is sure to be a shop like this close to you and most of them will sell items on your behalf if you can't be bothered putting them on eBay.

Another frugal fashion tip is to find a charity shop close to an upmarket area and go for a nosey! Yesterday, I did just that and found Vivienne Westwood, MaxMara, Boden and Hobbs on the rails. There were even a number of items with labels still attached. I made one purchase, this new navy Miss Selfridge sequin top which I wore today under a Navy cardigan. All it cost was a £4.50 donation to a great charity...it's a win-win!
Next Friday, I'll share with you some of my eBay bargains. See you tomorrow when I'll be wrapping up well for the cold weekend. Have a great weekend :)

    1. I'm sorry you haven't come across any bargains. I went to the same shop this morning and found nothing. Some days must be better than others. It's the Cancer Research shop on the Lisburn Road btw x

  2. My daughter bought a gorgeous nearly new evening dress at Deja Vue, (lisburn Road), for her school formal, a snip at £60. Well compared to paying upto £300 for school prom dresses, £60 sounded like music to my ears! I think there's something similar in Moira aswell. A list of alternative shops like these would be a great idea Avril. Just a shame Boden don't do their sale shops here. Boden people take a hint...
