I'm loving all these new year's resolution posts, they're really helping me to think about my own wardrobe and where I want to go style-wise this year. I think I need to take on board the leather v synthetic thing, I have never been that fussed about designer bags, but I do think it's time to start investing in quality accessories...

Well there are arguments for and against. If it's something you know will sell fast on eBay because it's a brand that's in demand and you're a confident eBay seller, then you'll probably get more on there so I still sell bits & bobs on there myself. However, if you don't want the hassle or have quite a lot to sell and done have time, then I'd highly recommend it. No hassle with posting and troublesome buyers....esp an issue when selling high value items. Yes, Dejavu takes 50% but the item will generally sell for more in the first place and you'll not have someone challenging authenticity or claiming the item wasn't as described. So, swings & roundabouts...I've personally gotten a bit fed up of eBay in recent years so I give more & more to Ruth now! Hope that helps....oh and yes, beware of leaving with more clothes & less money....but it's so worth it! Ax

It's good to be able to take a step back and review what works and what you don't think works and then find that it works after all - if you do it your way (remember the boyfriend jeans way back?). Onwards and forwards in to 2016 and your fifth year ... I'm coming up my fourth and I'd never would have thought I'd get this far.

Love your resolution edit Avril....this has really helped me as you have found your direction and are already planning ahead! That's what I need to do now, then I'll really feel like I've benefited from doing a wardrobe review! I do have an idea of what I'm looking for basics-wise but I need to build on that! Lovely post, Avril, and some great rules to stick to. I'm with you on leather - I won't waste my money on synthetic handbags and I have very few pairs of synthetic shoes. I much prefer the comfort and durability of leather. I've never heard of Deja-vu. Lynne xx
