I like the new shopping strategy and I think I'm slowly getting there but I still can't resist the odd cheap thrill. Some of it is about picking wisely and I have to say even with some of my cheap and cheerfuls, they have gone the distance as they were probably a basic and I inspected every last stitch and seam before buying. It's the whimsical fashion things which don't last and us oldies don't get away with as much. The young look good in almost anything - we have to work a little harder these days. As for which wish list item ... the bag for me. The yellow top would have been first if it had three quarter sleeves

I think your new shopping strategy is the way to go. I also did a wardrobe clear out recently and have decided to buy less but buy better. In the long run, I think it costs more to buy lots but cheaply. Nothing lasts .. and sadly we're no longer 19, where it's all about fashion fads that only last a few months. If it were me, I'd go for the bag in Atterley Road - it's stunning!! But as you are already the proud Mama of a Prada, I'd probably go for the Hobbs blazer. Hope you are continuing to enjoy the celebrations :)
