Hi, I found your blog through a comment you left on The Frugality, I'm so glad I did. Love the camel coat especially the width of the collar, I'm very fussy about collars! You're so right about checking out brands you might normally look at. My mother-in-law wears Windsmore so I automatically think mature lady when I see that name. A few years ago I couldn't find a grey coat that I liked. My last resort was a small old fashioned ladies wear shop near where I live. Lo and behold there was my perfect grey coat and it's a Windsmore! It's lasted for years and I get lots of complements when I wear it. So, the blinkers are definitely off. Thanks for a great post. X

I have been looking for a camel coat since my mum purchased one (when I was 11 haha!) but I've hankered for one of my own since my teens. Though I definitely would love a tie waisted one for that retro / vintage feel, I love this one on you. Makes you look taller if possible? It really is one of those pieces that you'll always get use out of and instantly chics up anything! Lovely A xx

Aw - no way!! It's all about how you wear them - have a look on Pinterest and you'll find tons of gorgeous images of stylish camel coat wearers. Having said that, my mother in law has one ... but she does wear it so well :) and hey, at least we know we'll get tons of wear out of it for the next 40 years! Ax
