I dithered between boots and shoes but in the end, opted for the Halo Leather Brogue in Metallic Leather
Before I go any further, I've just heard from the company that this line is selling really fast and won't be restocked this winter so if you need these in your wardrobe right now, zip right down to the bottom of this post and get the 15% discount code. Some sizes are already sold out and the rest are likely to in the next few days. Don't say I didn't warn you!
I styled mine two ways and on this post, it's all casual with jeans but I've also some photos wearing them with wide leg trousers in a more workwear style outfit which I'll share on a separate post. At this stage, I should point out that my husband/children haven't suddenly developed amazing photography skills...oh how wonderful that would be! My gorgeous photos were taken by the lovely Astrid Murray from Photography by Astrid - please give her some Facebook love as she's just fab and so lovely to work with for weddings or family portraits (I've already got a family in the park photoshoot in mind for us as a family...before the son gets too grown up and hormonal for that sort of thing). She had me totally at ease for these shots which is half the battle.
Shoes - Seven Boot Lane (as above)
Jeans - Kings of Indigo from TK Maxx
Gilet - Next (past season but similar here & here)
The photos above were taken in Botanic Gardens but I asked Astrid to take a few over at one of my most favourite buildings in Belfast - Elmwood Hall....minus the gilet at this stage as I was too warm!
In terms of fit and comfort, I got the size 6/39 and they're in line with the other Seven Boot Lane boots and shoes I have in terms of them being a little snug on first wearing but perfect after they've been worn a few times. I don't have any socks on in these photos but I do wear them with the Converse Chuck trainer socks that you can get in TK Maxx. They're pretty much invisible inside them but give nice cushioning to prevent any sore spots.
These brogues are also available in a bronze colour way which has a few more sizes in stock than the silver but is also selling out fast..
In terms of the other shoes that are tempting me, it has to be the new colour way in my favourite Eloise boot - brown suede (on the right)
and these boots could be the answer to the eternal search for great navy ankle boots that so many people ask me about:
You can see the whole Seven Boot Lane AW Range over on the website and for readers of the blog until the 10th October only, I've a discount code for you.
Simply enter SGSAW16 at checkout to get 15% off all the new season range.

Beautiful photos and shoes Avril! Your posts in and around Belfast have really made me want to visit Northern Ireland.....it looks such a lovely place.
ReplyDeleteOh I love the look of these in bronze! I always love the idea of brogues but am not sure if they really fit my style, will have to try on a few pairs! Elmwood Hall is beautiful - my mum and dad had their wedding reception there. Lovely pics you look gorgeous! x
ReplyDeleteI ordered these in silver and they are the most beautiful shoes I have ever seen. Sadly I wear orthotics (inserts in my shoes) and even though I sized up they lift my heel to high to wear.
ReplyDeleteAnyone with 'normal feet" though should definitely get they, they are stunning and packaged beautifully x
