The AW15 Wish List Begins....

Although today was gorgeous and sunny, the reality is that winter is on its way and I'm loving all the AW15 stock appearing in the shops and online. So I thought I'd share on this post what's caught my eye so far and made it onto the wish list for the upcoming season.

First up, a camel coat. I'm frustrated at this gap in my wardrobe. For the past couple of seasons, I've tried to find one that suits me and I know now that the traditional male single breasted shape isn't good on me. Then I saw this beauty on the Hush website and I reckon it's a winner with the high neckline and collar...adore how it's styled here too. An investment piece for sure but you can't go wrong with a classic piece like this.

Hush Michelle Coat - Camel
Next up, it's a Navy jacket and for this, I'm looking something that doesn't resemble anything you'd wear to an office....so no collars and not too dressy. Currently, I'm lusting after the Emilia Biker from Boden and I hope it comes with the party set for my party in October so I can try before I buy.
Boden Emilia Biker Jacket - Navy (also available in Pewter)
and while I'm talking about Boden, I was alerted to the fact that their iconic breton top now comes in a longer length. So excited about his as I find their regular length a bit short. There are a few different colours available but this is my first choice...the classic navy and ivory:
Boden Long Line Long Sleeved Breton
Shoes-wise, I'm badly in need of some ballet pumps as my black and navy ones are both at the end of their tether. These Next ones look good in the black. They're not going to rock the fashion world but I wear my old pair lots so they're an essential wardrobe staple for me. I'm not so keen on the navy suede but will report back on both colours when I order:

Leather Ballerina - Next
The next thing I'm searching high and low for is a pair of long culottes....or cropped wide trousers. I can't seem to get the right length though. I'm hoping to channel something like this (don't laugh....it will be a loose Belfast appropriate interpretation)
All I've found so far has been the more skirt-like culotte shape or a too long cropped wide trouser style. My legs are short though so the latter ends up looking a bit peculiar on me! The search is ongoing. I've found these ones in Topshop which are exactly right but only come in cream:
Cropped Wide Leg Trousers - Topshop
....and I've seen a few possibilities in Zara so have a trip to Belfast planned the week the kids go back to school as I would like to try before I buy. It may be an awful trouser shape  on my short arse legs!

Finally finally....I want to add a grey cross-body to my handbag collection but cannot find anything that I like online. But I did spot these two beauties in House of Fraser yesterday!

Finishing with a couple of outfits from the the past few days starting with Saturday and a walk (for me) and rollerblade (for the girls) around the park
Kimono - Topshop (old)
Jeans - Gap Outlet
Black Top - F&F at Tesco
Necklace - SGS shop
Sandals - Topshop

Yesterday, we had a lovely evening down watching my son play cricket:
Neon Boho Top - Bought in NYC last year
Jeans - Topshop
Trainers - Nike Outlet

and today - a lovely sunny day so the shorts came out to play!
Shorts - TU at Sainsburys (preloved)
Black Top - Warehouse AW14
Sandals - Palmairas de Menorca Avarcas - back in stock!

Hope you're week is going well,

Ax

  1. I HAD NOT HEARD THIS NEWS OF THE NEW LONGER LENGTH BRETONS!!!
This is amazing. Do you know I have bought 3 now, in some ridiculous notion that the 'next one' would fit better???, and given them all systematically to my BFF or sister, all the while getting more and more disgruntled because other than the length I love the fit and the feel etc...
    Amazing news, thank you!! x

  2. I love the wide, cropped trouser but wonder if I'm too small to wear them? I'll have to do some thinking and some trying on I think. That camel coat is gorgeous ... definitely should be purchased :)

    1. Definitely try it - and look at pinterest too....I think it can work depending on where they hit your leg and what kind of footwear and coat/jacket you wear with? x

  4. I love this list - I need to put together an AW15 wish list too. My wardrobe is desperately lacking. I have just bought myself black patent ballerinas from Next too funny enough, also because I wore my old pair out. I wear them ALL the time!!

  5. We have very similar items on our A/W wish list. In fact, I started writing mine out tonight but couldn't be bothered to source pictures which makes for a very boring blog post!!! Camel coat (tick), flat shoes (tick), culottes (just got, worn today and love them). I can so see where you're coming from with the Boden jacket, it's a stunner x

    1. Seeing how the Hush team have styled that coat would make you want one, wouldn't it? Looks amazing. Also glad to have shared about the longer breton - seems like it wasn't something everyone knew about. Hope you find it good when it arrives! x
