The other week, I was asked by the Replay Denim team to go along to their Belfast store in Victoria Square to customise a pair of jeans at their #replaydm event. Inside the store, there was a denim customising station with all sorts of DIY tools and every customer who bought a pair of Replay jeans that day, got a free pair of dark navy, un-bleached, un-distressed jeans to do with what they liked!
Once I'd tried on a few sizes to get my fit in Replay (and for anyone who's not tried Replay before, they do come up on the small side - I had to get a 30)...
...I then chose what colour button & rivets I wanted
and Chris from Replay showed my son how to attach these to the jeans with the riveting machine. Callum, whose rugby was cancelled that morning was suddenly starting to enjoy the shopping trip with mum!
Next up, it was time to get the drills out and start roughing up the pocket edges and around the hemline...
and after that, I got a bit sandpaper-happy and roughed up the front of them a bit.
Now time was tight so I couldn't do as much damage was I wanted to. It does require a good bit of effort to distress them well and I was nervous of rendering them unwearable! So I went for the subtle worn look and Chris assures me they will wash and wear really nicely with the distressing becoming more obvious over time. I'll show them off on my next outfit post.
This is what I wore down to the event - jeans from Gap, black ankle boots from Clarks and my Boden Modern Breton. To brighten it all up, I added the Flower Statement necklace from my own shop and my M&S yellow coat just seen in the photo above.
A great day out and I'm very grateful to the team at Replay for inviting me along! Oh and I'm not sure why this stand caught my eye and demanded a picture... :)

Disclosure - I was given my customised jeans free of charge. Thank you Replay!
