I blame my mother - she also had a fondness for shoes and I spent many an hour in my younger days clip-clopping around in my mum's high heels. I even once went missing at age 4 and was found in a shoe shop.
Anyway, I was browsing online last night looking for sandals (don't ask!) and I came upon the New Look website and their tagline was 'You don't need a reason for new shoes'. Well it would have been rude not to click on through and have a look...
I started to think about autumn winter and decided I'm in the market for some new shoe shapes, namely the loafer, the slipper shoe and the brogue. I find all three quite masculine and have struggled to find ones I like up to now. But loving these three from New Look and they are well priced so perfect for trying out the look without too much of an initial outlay.
I'm also looking out for great winter boots. I have a grey pair and tan pair on the wishlist. Still unsure about long boots generally right now but these tans ones are shearling lined which sounds divine. The grey ones (top right) are also shearling lined and are in the sale! Definitely worth a try on next time I'm in town..
Oh and a wedge trainer almost made it to the wish list and then I remembered I had a pair. Yes, eBay came up trumps over the summer and I managed to snaffle a proper pair of unworn Ash! They are almost making me wish for cooler weather. Almost...but not quite. I promise I'll show them off soon...

The leopard slippers are really nice actually in real life. I'd recommend. Really nicely made, leather (pony hair) and excellent value for money. Have I sold them to you yet?
ReplyDeleteOh my Sue - I *really* want them now! Formulating a plan for getting into NL this weekend :) x
DeleteSome gorgeous picks here! I'd love a pair of fancy flats and I love that last pair of brown ankle boots too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Emma! I was so impressed with the boots and the prices! x
DeleteI love the top three, and i'm a lover of boots, I never have them off me, even during summer. We've the same taste in shoes! Woo! x

DeleteI'm with Sue, the leopard ones look gorgeous, I find New Look shoes great quality and they often do leather for really good prices. Love those tan boots with the chunk heel, just perfect for a pair of daytime boots! And I'm totally with you on the thinking that you never need an excuse to buy shoes!! X
ReplyDeleteWell, I didn't expect anything else from you Trea - haha...she of the 5 pairs at a time fame :) x
Deleteoh you fell for the wedge trainer love in the end - they sound like a complete bargain!! Good waiting on your part. I'm going to let that trend pass me by ..
ReplyDeleteYou NEVER need an excuse to buy shoes - every woman should buy a pair at least once a week!
Thanks Fiona - must email you a pic...so impressed with my bargain. Even if I never wear them, I could sell for the same price again. They were a long time coming...x
DeleteWhere are the boots from Avril? Are they New Look as well?
ReplyDeleteYes Sophie - all New Look. The short grey ones are on sale too! x
DeleteI love the leopard slipper shoes! I just bought my first pair in black but I'm yet to wear them! I also a teeny bit tempted to try brogues as there is a pair in a local boutiques window that I pass nearly every day & they've been calling out to me! Ax
ReplyDeleteSHOES are my weakness! I love them & have so many pairs that I have to hide new ones in the boot of my car or in the office.
ReplyDeleteI treated myself to 2 pairs of loafer slippers with tassels (or pom poms as my sister calls them) from Pretty Little Thing, first time I've used the site & the shoes are gorgeous, comfy & a bargain.
Happy shoe shopping! Ruth x
