1st Birthday Celebrations at Atterley Road

During the summer last year, I first heard about Atterley Road. I LOVED what I saw on their website. It's basically a one stop shop for lots of amazing brands - no more trawling through different sites, paying multiple postage and waiting for several deliveries...and then paying to return. Atterley Road do free returns - an indecisive blogger's ideal :)

The great news is that this brand is going from strength to strength and is entering its second year of trading. And the even better news is that we are bang in the middle of two weeks of birthday celebrations (a bit like myself really!), with a fortnight of exciting and exclusive competitions and brand partnerships – including multiple £1,000 win-a-wardrobe giveaways, an overnight stay at a luxury 5* London hotel and flowers for 6 months. Click on the image below to enter every day for a chance to win one of these amazing prizes:

Just to give you a taste of what's available on Atterley Road's site, I did a quick pick of what I'm currently loving on there right now - click on the images to get the details. Starting off with this amazing Jigsaw handbag in a gorgeous neutral grey colour. I'm really getting into my handbags this week...can I justify another?
Petit Bateau is a great brand for a breton top that will last a lifetime:

This Hobbs top is so pretty. I'm really fond of lace - it's flattering to wear and this yellow colour is gorgeous and summery:
Look at the beautiful hummingbird print on this People Tree Top - eco friendly and only £32.
This Hobbs NW3 grey blazer/short jacket is the perfect wardrobe staple and is in the sale for just £65 (in sizes 14 & 16 only):
Finally, after my disastrous wet shoe incident in Nice, I'm wishing I had a pair of these pumps from Hunter (the welly-boot people!). Waterproof and also available in Chanel-esque quilted design, they're a great investment at £65:
I've really gone off the cheaper brands of late after filling a bag for the charity shop of mostly lower end items and realising in the process how much it all added up to and what little wear I got out of each item. My goal going forward on the blog is to buy less frequently but to buy better quality brands that will last for me, but to still mix and match with more affordable basics. To this end, I've got a wishlist now for Atterley Road...I need to just decide which ONE item I need in my wardrobe this month....which would you pick? x

  1. An interesting change in shopping strategy, can't wait to see what you invest in and with the sales coming up soon, I am also making a wishlist. Glad you had a great birthday xx

  2. I think your new shopping strategy is the way to go. I also did a wardrobe clear out recently and have decided to buy less but buy better. In the long run, I think it costs more to buy lots but cheaply. Nothing lasts .. and sadly we're no longer 19, where it's all about fashion fads that only last a few months. If it were me, I'd go for the bag in Atterley Road - it's stunning!! But as you are already the proud Mama of a Prada, I'd probably go for the Hobbs blazer. Hope you are continuing to enjoy the celebrations :)

    1. So right Helen. Yes, I think if I'd not just gotten my Prada, I'd love the bag but it's a bit of a budget busting bag too - definitely don't have that amount to spend atm! I'm tending towards the pumps as I think they will get so much wear. My current black pumps have served me well and need replaced x

  4. I like the new shopping strategy and I think I'm slowly getting there but I still can't resist the odd cheap thrill. Some of it is about picking wisely and I have to say even with some of my cheap and cheerfuls, they have gone the distance as they were probably a basic and I inspected every last stitch and seam before buying. It's the whimsical fashion things which don't last and us oldies don't get away with as much. The young look good in almost anything - we have to work a little harder these days. As for which wish list item ... the bag for me. The yellow top would have been first if it had three quarter sleeves

    1. And I need some cheap and cheerfuls for messing around with the kids. Silk and chocolate finger prints - I would be GUTTED.

  5. I totally love the bag too but I'm eyeing up a couple of Oushka's on Red Direct for my up & coming Birthday! I like most of the above but I was going to say you should go for the pumps as a pair of yours got ruined! I agree its time to invest in some good quality staple pieces for once! Ax

  9. Love that lace top Avril, it's stunning! I've decided I'm buying very little cheapish stuff over the summer as I have so much unworn stuff, and if I see it through I might just treat myself to something a little more expensive! So I'm slowly coming round to your theory.
