Pastels & Grey on a Weekend Away

Can't believe how long it's taken for me to post pictures from my choir residential weekend. Normally, I wouldn't bother if I've left it so long but in this case, the surroundings were so lovely, I wanted to share the pictures. For background, I'm a member of Lisburn Harmony Ladies Choir, along with about 70 other women. It is a wonderful group of girls ranging in age from 25 to almost 80 and we are having a concert in the Island Arts Centre in Lisburn (just outside Belfast) on Friday 15th February. Hence the residential weekend where we worked intensively on each of our pieces, ensuring they are pitch perfect for the concert. Our venue was Lorne House, down by the sea-front near Holywood, Co Down. What a beautiful building and we had it all to ourselves for the weekend.

And here I am on day two of the weekend - photos taken by the wonderful Heather who made me giggle the whole time!

So I'm wearing mostly stuff you've seen before. The draped jersey cardigan is by Linea @ House of Fraser (their Lounge range), my scarf is the lovely Savida @ Dunnes Stores one that my godson bought me for Christmas. My jeans are Warehouse Jeggings and the boots are Aldo suede wedges. All the links will take you to where I've worn these before. But what's new to this outfit is the wonderful grey cowl neck sleeveless top from Room 31. I bought this a few weeks ago and love how it works as a layering piece here. I know it will be great with white trousers in warmer weather too. It's one I'm going to wear alot and it's a bargain at £10 (with 25% off with SGS25 at the checkout). Only white and black left on the R31 website but plenty of sizes in both.

Oh and as I always do when I'm away from home here's another gorgeous front door!
I'll leave you with a photo from the first day of myself and the other alto's in action and if you are local and would like to come and hear us sing, the tickets are £10/£6 and available from Lisburn Council's website on this link
Be sure to let me know if you're coming along!
