Red Jeans - the jury's out...

I first wore these jeans back in May and couldn't make up my mind about them. I think that out of all the coloured jeans out there, red ones are the hardest to wear. The line between stylish mum outfit and children's entertainer outfit is at its finest here...
So today, I tried wearing them with a very neutral, earthy colour to tone down the brightness..oh and 8yo was directing the photos today...hence this first rather interesting angle!
My red jeans are Sainsbury's best...really soft and stretchy and a great length for the longer legged girls out there. The top is H&M, white vest from Dunnes, the scarf is an oldie and my taupe suede sandals are from TK Maxx (last worn here).
The handbag is from TK Maxx also - it's a Billy Bag in brown leather. A long time favourite that I love getting out to use every now and again.
As for the red jeans...I changed out of them at lunchtime. They're back in the wardrobe for another few months I fear!
Heading away for a few days to visit my parents and the wider family in Tipperary. If I can get a volunteer to pap me, I'll post a few pictures but if I'm too busy drinking pints of Guinness, I'll won't <hic>...have a great weekend!

  1. I don't have any colored skinny jeans, but I still have my eye on red ones or green ones. I love the red on you and I think red skinny jeans only look good with tan colors to be honest like you styled them above! You did great. I am not a fan of seeing people wear floral prints with colored denim because then they look like they are children still. It is too young looking, but this my dear is so fab! Have a good night! xx Pip

  8. Love red jeans, but they have to be skinny and worn as you did with neutrals or stripes. Metallic or tan shoes look fab with them. Great look :-)

  12. I think you look good sweets... not OTT or out of place at all - & I don't think they look loud or out there how you've styled them. Maybe you'd feel comfier in AW with knee boots & tunic or long cardi, so it's just a little flash of red?
Personally I'd wear them with killer heels & a fancy top for a night out! :D
