Primark Floral Jeans - joint blog post with Poppy's Style & Style Guile!!

I am SO excited about this blog post because it's been a couple of months in the making. Way back in June, Joanna from Poppy's Style bought some Primark floral jeans and I mentioned on Facebook that I thought Beth from Style Guile had some and perhaps I should buy a pair too and we could have a blogger collaboration! The seed was sown and I commenced a trawl of local Primarks to find the jeans in my size as they were £5 in the sale by then and rapidly running out. Lo and behold, a size 10 reappeared back in stock in the Lisburn store and we were ready to rock and roll (once I beat myself into them but Donna Ida always says to buy your jeans too small!)

I decided to style mine for a night out in this post. Lots of people have asked me how to wear floral and patterned jeans. The key is to make them the feature piece of your outfit and keep the top half neutral and relatively plain.
But for night-time, a strong pair of jeans like these need a fierce pair of shoes so I'm wearing my fiercest - the Room 31 multicoloured wedges. I am SO in love with these shoes - thank you to the team at Room 31 for sending them to me. I had admired from afar but thought they were too high but they are actually really easy to walk in and boy do I feel amazonian in them - taller than Mr SGS!
Jeans - Primark
Wedges - c/o Room 31
Clutch - LK Bennett
Top - Dorothy Perkins (similar on link)
Jacket - old
Here's a close up of the pattern of the jeans. You know, I wasn't overly fussed on them at all when I saw them first but they are a great example of the importance of trying a trend out for yourself. You sometimes need to get outside your fashion comfort zone. I LOVE them now and am so tempted to look for other patterns.
Just can't stop looking down at my gorgeous jeans and fierce heels!
Hope you enjoyed how I styled my Primark floral skinnies for night time - tomorrow I'll show you how I wore them for daytime. In the meantime, get yourself over to Joanna's and Beth's blogs to see how they styled theirs:

  2. They look so cool Avril. I would never have thought of pairing them with patterned shoes but it works so well. I'll have to try it myself!

  3. Ladies you looks fabulous!! And love them Avril with the coloured wedges - they're way out for you but you look absolutely amazing in them, completely rock them. And love the jeans with a black jacket. Completely randomly I have mine on today as well. So so sorry for being so hideously flakey with the whole thing but you ladies wear them so so much better than me. (and Avril - how bargainous were yours exactly?! I thought i'd done well at full price of £13!)

  4. I'm afraid of patterns or colours because I fear I'll look like a sofa or a huge smartie. You on the other hand can rock all styles. And you've done it again. You all look great . Go primark

  12. All three of you look GOOD!!!

I am envious of all of your legs, thin as pins, oh to have legs like that! :)

I must say if I were to go here and try the trend, I would likely do it with a baggy blazer, fitted tee, oversized clutch, colorful sunglasses, and wedge sandals. :)
