Stylish Mamas & not a School Gate in sight!

Today I bring you three gorgeous School Gate Style followers in their fabulous frocks...
Firstly, meet Megan who's just given birth to a beautiful son, John. How amazing does Megan looks in this blue pleated detail dress that she picked up in TJ Maxx (USA) for her son's dedication...
Get Megan's look with this blue number from Dorothy Perkins..

Blue Pleated Cross-Front Dress - Dorothy Perkins £14
Next we have Claire in a Dorothy Perkins dress (unfortunately it's sold out). Loving this purple shade with the LK Bennett Davina-style pleat detail on the front and ruffles on the shoulders.
And a separate photo of Claire's Carvela heels...love them!
Seeing both Megan and Claire's glam looks got me thinking about how a nude/neutral shoe is a great wardrobe addition that matches so many dresses. Here's a lovely pewter/nude occasion shoe that will stand the test of time.
Nude Satin Feature Heel Shoe - Next £58
Finally, Lily sent me this photo of the blue Dorothy Perkins dress she wore recently to a girlie weekend away. This dress is very on trend with its bird print pattern and looks great on Lily - suits her colouring perfectly.
Lily's dress is all sold out too but here's a lovely bird print number from ASOS
Prophecy Bird Print Dress - ASOS £45
I just love getting your pictures and do try to use as many as I can - thanks to Lily, Megan and Claire for sharing their style this weekend. If you've got a day-time or evening look you love, send me a picture! The email address is [email protected]

  1. They all look wonderful! I'm on the lookout for dresses to wear to BritMums, particularly for the evenings. I have a strange body shape for dresses though - small chest, larger waist and hips. Any ideas on styles I should look at? x x

    1. Hi there...you're so lucky going to BritMums - how exciting! But yes...what's a girl to wear?!
You sound like my sort of figure - I always tend to go for high necklines (good if you've a smaller bust) and something with some flattering detail at the waist - a bit like Claire's dress above. Some lovely dresses on the Dorothy Perkins site as per above. If you email me, I can send you some links.
As an alternative to a dress, how about some cropped coloured trousers (or black) with a bright top and a blazer with some shoulder detail? High stilettos - treat yourself to some killer heels!
Thanks for getting in touch! Avrilx
