Firstly, meet Megan who's just given birth to a beautiful son, John. How amazing does Megan looks in this blue pleated detail dress that she picked up in TJ Maxx (USA) for her son's dedication...

And a separate photo of Claire's Carvela heels...love them!
Seeing both Megan and Claire's glam looks got me thinking about how a nude/neutral shoe is a great wardrobe addition that matches so many dresses. Here's a lovely pewter/nude occasion shoe that will stand the test of time.

Lily's dress is all sold out too but here's a lovely bird print number from ASOS

They all look wonderful! I'm on the lookout for dresses to wear to BritMums, particularly for the evenings. I have a strange body shape for dresses though - small chest, larger waist and hips. Any ideas on styles I should look at? x x
ReplyDeleteHi there...you're so lucky going to BritMums - how exciting! But yes...what's a girl to wear?!
DeleteYou sound like my sort of figure - I always tend to go for high necklines (good if you've a smaller bust) and something with some flattering detail at the waist - a bit like Claire's dress above. Some lovely dresses on the Dorothy Perkins site as per above. If you email me, I can send you some links.
As an alternative to a dress, how about some cropped coloured trousers (or black) with a bright top and a blazer with some shoulder detail? High stilettos - treat yourself to some killer heels!
