Scarf Print Patterns & Coffee Cake

Happy Friday everyone! Closer to a new month and already the Easter school holidays have started. 3 kids to entertain for 2 weeks so I really hope this weather keeps up. Today we celebrate my husband's birthday and we've got a barbecue planned for later so I'm dressing up a bit...
I'm wearing my scarf print tunic from H&M - a sale bargain at just £7! I'll confess now that
I bought it even thought it was a bit snug around the shoulders because I love the print so much...then after some deliberation, I cut the sleeves off and it fits me perfectly now :). And I've got enough material from the sleeves to make a tie belt or scarf.
I'm layering my tunic with a grey cardigan, also from H&M both for the evening chill and also because the top is quite noisy and I wanted to tone it down a little. I'm  wearing French Connection grey skinny jeans, which I got in London last year and my black Clarks ballerinas & Accessorize belt.
I adore this pattern with the deep blue, cream, black and grey. It would make an amazing scarf but for now, no more scissors...it's staying a tunic.

Before I go, I have to share a picture of the birthday cake. After a monumental mess-up with his present (don't go there) I'm making up for it a little with Coffee Cake. It will help him forget the fact that there is no present...yet...or at all...who knows and I wasn't supposed to go there so I'm stopping now!
Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow with some gorgeous School Gate Stylistas in their Saturday night out dresses!

  3. I love the tunic top, the grey works so well with it. I would definitely wear this outfit, I'm always looking out for longer things to cover the bulges!
