But before you go 'Ewwww..second hand clothes', did you know that eBay sells lots of new items with many small boutiques and well known brands using it to sell off older stock. For instance, you'll find House of Fraser, LK Bennett, French Connection and Dune shops on eBay, to name a few-a great way to pick up something from a past season.
My best eBay purchases have been from good brands and good sellers. If you are buying anything of value, always look for 100% positive feedback and a good record of selling on eBay.
I bought this new Orla Kiely bag on eBay at Christmas (on behalf of my sisters in law). I didn't like the current range at OK so searched on eBay where there are a number of sellers that have stock from past seasons. So this bag is an older pattern but was exactly what I was looking for and was priced about £40 less than the 2011 range:
I must of course mention the Mumsnet Scarf. These bargain Louis Vuitton copies from eBay are surprisingly cosy and come in lots of colourways.

When bidding on an auction, think of the maximum amount you are willing to pay. Wait until 20 seconds from the end of the auction, stick that amount in and cross your fingers (reliable broadband required). That way, you'll not get into a bidding war too far in advance of the finish time, which drives prices up. Or better again, look for items that are 'Buy It Now' and you can do just that!
Here are some of my picks from eBay today....go on, spoil yourself:
Biba Multi-Coloured Abstract Top - £37.50 |
Linea Denim Tunic - £20 |
Be still my beating heart - Louboutin Beauties £449 |
Zara Zipped Blazer - as worn by Kate Middleton |
Tomorrow, I'll be showing you a couple of going out outfit as it's Valentine's Saturday and love is in the air :)
Love the Orla Keily bag, I've loved her designs for years now. I have the recent Tesco pear pattern tote bag, but hardly anyone recognises who the designer is, but knows the pattern.
ReplyDeleteThanks - I blame my OK addiction on my being Irish!! And I agree on the tesco tote. I brought loads of them down to my family in South of Ireland and they went mad for them but not many in the UK know her name.
